FROSTBYTE LAUNCHES WITH RELEASE OF NEW SAUKRATES SINGLE ‘DROP IT DOWN’

Toronto, ON – FrostByte is a young full service record label launched in 2011 operated by Albert Zgarka, managing director and Tom Treumuth, co-MD and CEO of Hypnotic International. The label is a division of 20 plus year old entertainment company Zgarka Holdings Limited founded by Dominique Zgarka, Senior Vice President Product Development at Entertainment One [eOne], for North America. The label is committed to breaking their diverse roster on a global platform that includes Bowfire, Harm, Jack Frost, Melissa Bel, OB O'Brien, The Respectables, Ricky J., Saukrates, and Seven Witches.

The label offers worldwide physical and digital distribution via eOne, international releases via FrostByte's international partners, management, production and engineering, songwriting collaboration, video production, sponsorships, and film/television licensing. FrostByte has signed Canadian hip-hop staple Saukrates who premiered the music video for his new single Drop It Down featuring Redman on MuchMusic's RapCity on September 8^th and is now available on Saukrates' website http://www.biggsoxx.com/. The video features an appearance from Redman and animation created by Saukrates using a Nintendo DSI. Starting this fall, Saukrates will be a part of a new international Nike campaign called Always On 24/7 that will use his song Say I over a commercial/mini documentary about NHL star PK Subban who personally chose Saukrates to provide the music for his spot. Saukrates, PK Subban, and the director will present the commercial/mini documentary at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13^th.

Other upcoming artist releases include Canadian budding singer/songwriter Melissa Bel who will be releasing an EP in Europe this fall to be followed by showcases and live dates in the UK and Germany. Her full album will be released worldwide in first quarter 2012.

As a talent scout Tom was responsible for signing Canadian acts directly to the American office of RCA/BMG Records and was subsequently awarded his own Production Company by the President of RCA USA to sign acts. Tom worked closely with KISS founder Gene Simmons as co-manager and producer/writer for the rock act Gypsy Rose who's debut album was released worldwide by RCA.

Tom founded Hypnotic Records, a legendary rock label who’s domestic and foreign releases were distributed by Universal Music. The Hypnotic catalogue of 20 albums is now administered by Linus/Universal worldwide. The catalogue includes albums from platinum selling artist Big Sugar and metal pioneers Voivod.

Tom fine-tuned his production and engineering/mixing skills during his ownership of state-of-the-art recording studio Hypnotic Sound in downtown Toronto for 9 years. His numerous recording clients included Blue Rodeo and Big Sugar.

Tom has co-written songs with many of the artists he has produced and was signed as a writer to the US division of RCA/BMG. He has also performed as a keyboardist on many of his productions.

In addition to working with Gene Simmons to manage Gypsy Rose, Tom has partnered with prestigious management firm Handprint in Los Angeles to manage the career of EPIC/SONY US signed hip-hop act Kazzer who broke through internationally with the hit song "Pedal to the Metal".

Besides all of the above Tom has also been actively involved in concert promotion, marketing, advertising, booking, retail distribution and foreign licensing of music CDs and DVDs.

Tom becomes Co-Managing Director of a new label/entertainment venture called Frostbyte.

Frostbyte signs Melissa bel and an initial digital EP is now scheduled for release in Europe in October. A full international album release is scheduled in the spring. The EP is titled Distance and was produced by Tom at various studios with mixing done at DNA. Melissa will be doing some showcase dates in the UK and Germany in the fall with a full European tour to follow in 2012.

Tom just completed production and mixing work on gold selling Quebec act The Respectables who are now signed to Frostbyte. Look for an international release in the first quarter of 2012 to be followed by extensive international touring.

In other production/mixing news Tom recently mixed the Saukrates/PK Subban Nike commercial called “Say I” along with some tracks for his upcoming EP. Next up is some mixing work for OB O'Brien.

Hypnotic and CD experts announce an Estonian manufacturing arrangement so artists touring Europe can now have their CDs pressed up and shipped to anywhere in Europe from Estonia. With music and artwork files sent digitally from Canada and then manufactured in a state of the art facility in Estonia this will now save money and hassle for artists thinking of touring there.
